Pedrito Martinez Trio
Pedrito Martinez Troya is a talented Spanish bassist, double bassist, and composer. He is especially known for being a co-founder of the flamenco-pop group "Los Gazpacho," a band that has firmly established itself in the music scene with its distinctive flamenco-pop style. With "Los Gazpacho," Pedrito Martinez has released three albums that have been widely embraced by the Spanish music scene, enabling them to tour throughout Spain, Europe, and Mexico. His skill with the bass and double bass, combined with his compositional ability, has been fundamental to the band's success.
Pedrito Martinez has received high-level musical training, having studied with the renowned bassist Carles Benavent, a key figure in the fusion of flamenco and jazz. Throughout his career, Pedrito Martinez has collaborated with a wide range of renowned artists, enriching his experience and musical versatility. Among these artists are Josemi Carmona, Jorge Pardo, Agujetas Chico, Piraña, Beatriz Morales, Adrià Puntí, David Domínguez, Jordi Bonell, David Pastor and Gorka Benítez These collaborations have allowed him to explore different genres and styles, solidifying his reputation as a multifaceted and respected musician in the music scene.
In his first solo work titled "Naina," he presents an intimate and personal album that reflects his broad range of musical influences, featuring collaborations with Jordi Bonell and Jorge Pardo, among others. This album includes original compositions that blend the essence of Mediterranean music with flamenco elements and jazz atmospheres, creating a unique and evocative mix.
